About

Wayfare is a travel news site. We follow the English-language trade and consumer press and gather what matters — airlines, hotels, cruise lines and destinations — into a single feed.

Why it exists

Travel news is scattered across dozens of publications. Skift covers the business of the industry, Simple Flying covers aircraft, Cruise Industry News covers ships, The Guardian and Condé Nast Traveller cover places. Reading all of them every day is not realistic, and reading any one of them gives you only part of the picture.

We read them so you do not have to, and sort the result into sections.

How the selection works

• Twenty-five sources, each one picked by hand. We do not add feeds at random:

every publication has been checked for whether it actually updates and whether it has something to say.

• Six sections: destinations, aviation, hotels, cruise, industry, points and miles.
• English only. Some publications mix their non-English editions into the same

feed; those pieces are filtered out.

• Refreshed every ten minutes. When the same story appears in several feeds,

the duplicates collapse into one card.

What we write ourselves

Alongside the aggregated feed we publish our own pieces, marked “Our reporting”. These are analyses, round-ups and commentary on what is happening in the industry.

On copyright

For items in the feed we show a headline, a short summary and a link to the original — exactly what the publication itself puts in its RSS feed. We do not copy full articles and we do not republish them in translation.
